I fell in love with the carbon fiber dash interior at the 2007 NA auto show on a white M/// coupe . Anyone have some pics they could post?

It's not CF - Its leather weave - not much to look at really... I like it however. Someone must have pics.

^WHS.. It's leather with an embossed weave pattern.
I have it & love the look.... partially because it's something a little different.

Here are a couple of pics (not mine)...
It doesn't photograph very well because of the pattern.
Looks MUCH better in person.

Yep, quite a bit thicker. In the UK you get the ///M wheel on the Sport models too.

Kinda funny - my hands aren't extra huge and one of the things that I didn't like about the ///M's was the oversize steering wheel. The one in the 3.0si Coupe felt much more normal to my hands when I was initially looking at Z4 Coupes.

First time I drove it, it was"Holy schit this is fat" :o
After a couple of turns, I fell head over heels in love with it.

Out of curiosity, how do you hold the steering wheels? Are your 2 thumbs in the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions? Or are they in the 2 o'clock and 10 o'clock positions?

Just wondering, 'cos my hands are not huge either but I find the steering wheel to be just the perfect size.

Always 3 and 9 o'clock. For my hands I find the wheel on the 3.0si to be just right. I have had several cars in a row that had steering wheels that felt too big for my taste (Audi B5 S4, B6 S4 Avant, and a Honda S2000) and am glad I have one now that feels "right".

Are those mats standard with the ///M logos?
I don't think so,
They were in the car when I went to look at it from the dealer but its not on the build sheet or option list I got with the car,
Im assuming the dealer put them in as they are $85 on the BMW website,

There very nice though ;)
With those 2 ///M logo mats theres a total of 21 ///M logos on this car!

2 on the wings (1 each side)
1 on the trunk lid
4 on the wheels
2 on the door sills
1 on the steering wheel
1 on the speedo
1 on the gear stick
2 on the seats molded into the headrest
4 on the brake calipers ( a discovery I made yesterday when taking the wheels off to clean the arches)
1 on the engine valve cover
2 on the floor mats
