Please... :P

Have made a few enquires for prices and it seems quite reasonable to have my current wheels redone in black. I know, its not everyones cuppa tea but we all have our own taste

Before I take the plunge and do the deed to my existing wheels was hoping to see some different variations including my current wheel type and see if its a better idea to source a new set of wheels entirely with a different style.

Here is the current wheels, was planning on Satin or a Matt black as opposed to gloss black :driving:

Very interested in this thread as our recently acquired E89 has a few marks on the edges of the rims.I thought about going with a "dark silver/titanium" finish for the wheels to contrast with the white paintwork......also contemplating getting the 2 parts of the roof either wrapped or painted in matt/satin black.

I saw a Melbourne red with black roof recently including black wheels and it really looked good.

Any one any good at photo shop... :D

Not a white car but you get the gist... I think the 326m is a lovely wheel and you kind of lose the detail when done in black, so I had mine done in carbon grey with black inners (any excuse to post a pic up  )

I think that goes really well with your colour

I looked at some different shades at the wheel shop the weekend and am edging towards a non gloss finish but I really do like the black/white combo... I think am being called by the dark side... :?

:P

Looking for whole car shots and close ups as above and below

Satin black before and after roof wrap / window tint on my last 18i. Present 35is with gloss black rims.

Thanks for posting, some good looking cars there

Satin black wheels mmm now they have my attention :D

Hi,

Well I have high gloss black, with an silver fleck - look amazing with some polish and sun to bring the fleck out.

However.. they are an nightmare to keep looking good - so would recommend gloss on outer wheel - but mat or satin for the inner wheel.

What are the carbon mirror caps like. Can you tell they're obviously caps? Was having a look at these to go with the rear carbon diffuser I have.

Also forgive my ignorance but what's a jb4?

Would be interested to see if you find an induction kit. I can't find one anywhere for mine.

I remove the original covers, and replaced them with the Carbon covers

Its an tune device for the N20 or N54 turbo engines

Ah. Right so they're not the stick on ones. I'm guessing quite costly then too.

Looks good. Liking the roll hoops. But then I'm biased.

Nearly $300 on the web site. Look good though 8)

The JB4 reads good, what can you tell us about it, feedback wise...

I have been researching some other options from the Remus powerizer to the superchips stage 1 takes power to 275/300bhp depending who you believe :driving:

My matt black alloys, but they were bought in that colour. My previous were 18" in silver but I had it painted in matt black and it was a good decision. If you want it in matt black make sure to mention "primer black" otherwise they'll end up giving you a finish that it really more like satin.

3 advantages of matt black:
1. Easy maintenance.
2. Easy to touch up curb marks. I once absolutely destroyed 1 alloy (curb marks all over the rim and lots along the spokes) and after touching up with matt-black primer paint you can't see it at all.
3. Sets your car apart from all the others while still looking good.

Cheers for that, looking good

Got a decent quote, now just down to timing, no car for 4 days with all four wheels off at the same time needs some planning on my part...

Was thinking of a red gator to finish off the rim similar to your rs stipe in the front grill. Have seen this and it helps pop the wheels IMO , probably not everyone's taste. We will see though

Pics will follow eventually but it will probably be the other side of Xmas :headbang:

Find one that does it same day. When I had my 18s painted I dropped it off first thing in the morning and then picked it up at 6pm that day (I think it was £260 or so and it included curb repair).

I looked up red gator, they are like rim blades. DOn't do it! I did it as well and not only did it look very 'boy racer' but they also came off after a few motorway journeys despite following the prep instructions and pre-cleaning twice. The protectors which stay on for sure are the ones that clip inside the tyre and you need a professional to do it.

This firm want my wheels for 4 days! Similar price to yours, plus £20 actually,

That's a wheel a day... A few companies I've contacted all seem to need them for around 3 or 4 days, they must be following a certain process or be powder costing them or something!?!?
Mine are currently damage free and in good condition so not a lot of or any repair needed to them either
