Should this be unplugged? (Beeper Under Dash)

I removed the panel under the dash (driver's side) which has the footwell lighting and reverse sensor beeper on, and noticed the following plug was disconnected. I am just wondering - what is it and should it be unplugged?

I do have reversing sensors and they beep perfectly fine, so I am a bit confused! Many thanks.

Could it be door chime or something similar, will see if can find wiring diagram an see what the unplugged cable goes back to

Isn't it the seat belt warning chime?

Mine doesn't beep when I put it into reverse, only when the PDC is active.

Nope as DLV said it's for the reverse chime, not to be confused with the PDC chime. I disconnected mine too. No issues in the many months it's been disconnected. Not noticed a correlation between seat occupancy? But maybe they're inter-related wiring?

It's certainly is the reverse gong. A hideous devise that makes a constant bong while reverse is selected.
Doesn't affect any other sounder or alarm
