Should the Cig socket power USB

I can’t get my cig socket to charge my phone with a USB adapter or power a sat nav .

I tried the cig socket and it heats the element fine.

I’ve tried the usb adaptor in another car and it works .

Is this normal for the e85?

I had a similar problem with mine - turns out not all lighter socket usb adaptors actually fit the BMW socket....might be worth getting another from amazon and seeing if that works!

If the adapter works in another vehicle it’s the Zed.
I had the same problem just dirty connection, spot of meths on a cloth in the socket sorted it.

Run my sat nav via USB in the cigarette lighter and works fine. From the sound of it the USB adaptor doesn't fit the socket properly or it needs a good clean.
