Should the bonnet have insulation lining?

Hi all,

Just noticed today my bonnet doesn't have any insulation but does look like it should. Is it not meant to or has a previous owner removed it?

No, it's as it should be.

Just you wait until it starts raining after the engine has warmed up. The steam off it due to the lack of insulation can cause concern for any new zed owner. Don't worry though as its completely normal.

Thanks for the replies, I only really thought about it today when I lifted the bonnet and had water drops fall from underneath.

Haha, that was me last week. Was just about to post a question asking if the bonnet should "steam" after a run. Thanks for answering before I asked.
