Should I wrap my Z4C in ...

I am planning on a set of new rims down the road, something like black bbs lms, so with msport suspension I think I am fine. LMs have OK dish on them, but my goal is to go for 18s and fit beefy tyres. I don\t like the slammed look at all. Beefy tyres - very much so.
 
how much are you being quoted for a full wrap, ? not keen on the ones i have seen as they can look a bit tatty round the edges and where the vinyl has been heat shrunk over sharp contours it goes slack or tightens up so you can see hollow bits , worse case scenario these can split or tear over time, also i would want to see a car that has been unwrapped after a year or so to see how the paintwork has fared. also it wouldnt surprise me to find a few scalpel cuts in the paint, have noticed these on my vans where the sign people have applied vinyls and trimmed them around handles etc. I guess there are some mor experienced wrappers around , I would definately want to see a few vehicles they had done before. personally I would consider it way too risky on my pride and joy. saw a carbon wrapped mustang the other day.... it looked pretty tacky i thought. ps remember though, mine is only an opinion , each to their own, good luck whichever way you go. :thumbsup:

Few variations, all photoshops. Not great because the paint is metallic now and wrap would be glossy, so can't pass on the effect well. but you get the idea..

All good points - would not bother with it if I see previous work is bad quality. 600 euros. But it's a cost that's a function of labour price to a large degree. I will only do a wrap that is good and if there is scalpel involved then ill pass on it. Thanks.
 
I dont really like it. I'd go for a matt grey, I saw this colour in several cars in Barcelona Expo and was nice.

I like the idea of a wrap, supposedly if your paint is in good condition the wrap should act to protect also.

I like the green and it'd be one of a kind. I'd be tempted to get mine done in Valencia Orange alma the 1M, would look great on a Z IMO.
 
600 euros, !! that sounds a deal, I was expecting a couple of grand minimum, for that money , if the work is high quality , hell, go for it , as you say it can always come off when you get bored, greens have never been my favorite tho, but theres hundreds to chose from, take your time and enjoy. :thumbsup:
 
Just be wary of who does it and how the work is done. I've seen some terrible wraps posted where the fitters have scored the paint underneath and made a right mess.

Edit, just noticed this has been pointed out. :oops: still, probably the biggest consideration with wraps so no bad thing :lol:
 
Kartman your avatar pic is how I feel about the green :cry:

But your choice if you get it done come to silverstone or a meet so we can see it!
