I'm no big fan of Porsches but check this out:

On the one hand, it seems stupid to chop in a 25k mile car for one with 180k on the clock. On the other hand, if nothing's gone wrong with it so far...
 
It is very nice, but that is a lot of miles, getting up to near 200k it will require stuff being done, I'm thinking dampers, bushes etc - which might not be cheap on a GT3.

Have you asked about how well the engine stands up to that kind of milage on a specialist forum? I think it's a racing derived block and isn't linked to IMS/RMS issues - so it could be hardly worn, best to check though.

PCCB's might also need looking at which are silly money

Saying all that, it is still a GT3 and will be one hell of an experience...

4 year old car with 25k on the clock, so I guess I am.
 
lot of miles for 7 year old car,but can not of been in a garage has to have been good and on the road, could not have had many probs Yet. tough choice!!!! :driving:
 
throw on a ess vt1 kit and build your own awesome car... or throw vt2 on if you want to chase GT2s :-)

Compared to a Z4MC presumably? They aren't significantly more expensive to run than any other 996 from my research and of course being a GT3 it won't suffer (probably?) from RMS or IMS issues. Mezger block apparently.

Anyway, tempting and a great colour IMHO.
 
Still makes the M a bargain doesn't it? It's not that much powerful than an M(12% or so), hugely more expensive to run apparently, £25k to buy and approx two years older than the early Z4 M's and three times the miles covered than even my relative high miler :). So what's the appearl, are they super rare?

My mate had one and the assosiated costs of repair are huge, whilst I admit the engine is stronger than the other na 996 units the repair costs are in a different league. Clutch replacement cost was huge.

If you buy a Porsche auc car the rules are also very strict and also significantly increase costs.

If you think that's a bargain, be my guest but don't say you weren't warned.
 
You have to really want one of those to pay that money for one so leggy. I'd steer well clear. Especially when £25k buys you a good Noble... Now we're talking :)
 
180k .. not a chance.. I'll give you £12k for it.

Those are not motorway miles, expect 80% of the car to need replacing over the next 24 months.
 
It's cheaper for a reason, expect to spend that saving on iminent bills....the milometer is not just a counter, it is an insight into this vehicle's wear and tear, and how much life remains in its components.

Seems like a load of crap, unless I'm missing something. 180k miles! , £25k! U believable.

Am I missing something? Didn't think the gt3 was that special, how much where they new?
