SHould I paint my grilles black??

I bought a set from Ebay and they wouldnt fit properly, so i painted the originals and it looks much better, i would defo recommend it

Did mine with Plastidip a couple of weeks ago - the result was far better than I thought possible from a £10 rattle can. Literally perfect.

Whether it holds up to stone chipping is another story.

I painted a spare set I had and they looked good initially but stone chips appeared very quickly. I’ve heard that plastidip is much more resistant to chips but it wasn’t readily available when I painted mine, so I bought a black set from eBay. That has lasted over a decade without any problems.

Your thoughts chaps,

Should I paint my grilles black, keeping the chrome surround?

Would appreciate opinions..
I replaced mine for all black and painted the lower grill surrounds black, I think worked out well.

The 35is Grille goes really well on Melbourne Red.
Not a fan of black/red or black/blue.
But just about every other colour seems to look good with black grilles.
Particularly black or white cars.
