The lights and side repeaters for sure. Roll hoops I have no opinion on those, but the wheels, you have to be kidding...no need to change those to something so out of sync. with the Zed
Everyone has an opinion on car shoes. I'll be subtle with your choice: those suck. 8) But it is your car.
Until you have them mounted on your car (or another Z4) that you have walked up to and seen them driven on the tires you don't know if you'll like them. Kinda like some of the babes on Bebo or facebook...look great until you see them in the flesh. Rims are expensive so choose wisely. Good luck.

I think you right, not a step too far, but a leap off the edge of a cliff me thinks!
It all started from wanting to get the wheels refurbed as they are starting to pit allot now, £400 for all four, but how long would they last, so started looking at new wheels. Have any others had their 108's refurbed, how did they last after everyday driving?
cj10jeeper your right, headlights and indicators are a must (if not an expensive upgrade), do you know if the new shape tail lights will be a straight fit on a 2003?
The leather is also worn, so I'm getting that recovered (inc electric upgrade - hense other post).
It all went from there really.

Picked up one more question in the thread:
Facelift rear lights won't fit without a new bumper cover and new LCM that has to be programmed. Generally considered a not worthwhile mod.
Seat - electric upgrade. I don't think you can upgrade your seats. You could source a set of electric bases and build your seat and back into them. I did a post some months back on this one of building ///M sport seats onto electric memory bases with heating too.

cj10jeeper I have some 2004 Electric seats in cloth ready to buy, I will have them re-covered along with the door panels so they are a straight fit, subject to the wiring. I have heated seats at the moment, but the seller of the electric seats is not sure if they are heated.

I'm glad the wheels are gone.
On the seats they are somewhat modular in that on the underside of the seat is a junction box that allows for the airbag sensor (passenger side) heated seat pads and 3 electric motors all to connect to the single floor cable/harness. The seller of the seats should be able to tell just by looking at the direction the cables follow. Wiring - the only challenge will be if you don't already have seat heaters as you'd need to wire them to the dash switches. Seats are self contained once you have powere to them.
Retrofit seat pad heaters is possible to do especially if you have the covers off.
Door panels. Be aware that you cannot easily detach the leather insert from the door card. Its got about 2m of plastic welded seams on it. I did detach but it's a real task.
Since I've pretty much done all you mention in this project happy to give any specific advice.

Wow, thanks. Lined up the referb company for the wheels, they are lovely looking, just fustrated with the constant problems with them. £320+vat
I've got a company that will remove, recover and re-fit the seats and panels for me £795+vat, thought that was a good price. They will also add some extra padding for lumber and increase the bolsters slightly. Do you know how much the heating pads are roughly?
This is all allot cheaper than I thought, so happy.
Still not decided how to do the headlights, £600 for a pair in the UK, or buy donor lights in the US, there is a company over there that will do the conversion to my xenon lights and fit the angel eye kit $400 plus donor lights and shipping?
I'm going to get some body work done as well to fix up some scuffs and chips, now I'm thinking of the Aero kit. Geese I get easily side tracked, good job your all here to keep me in check.

Sorry don't have a price for heater pads, but if you go onto realoem.com you can get a part number to call the stealer with. Fitting should be easy with the covers off.
BTW - do remember not to turn on the ignition if you disconnect the seat, else you'll trip the airbag warning light (£50 at the dealer to reset)
Be very careful with US lights as they will not work in the UK, especially xenon. Firstly UK lights are asymetrical and US are not, or at the very least the beam cut off shutter is the wrong way around. We also have sidelights in the centre flash to pass beam that they do not.
For the amount you're spending this car had better look the biz...
