They're fine, unless you have a curry. In which case, they're no good as a wind deflector!![]()

Well it seems on Ebay you can actually buy just the material, but I was weighing up the faffing about with whether it would actually be worth it in terms of improvements.
Also, as has been mentioned, if the difference is minimal I prefer the look without them filled.
It's not easy to find anyone who has experienced both set ups though.

I think you should ask your partner in crime Smartbear to strip his car down and do a detailed evaluation with and without..he seems to have plenty of time..a great garage and it would only take him a day or so to strip down /a day to rebuild it without the hairnets and then another two days or less (he should be getting good at it) then to put it back to OE spec..![]()

I sourced the hoop inserts, but I keep losing out on the actual deflectors on eBay! (Or forgetting to bid!)
The hoop inserts are a very simple part, a wire frame with the fabric clipped inside. There is a black clip across the bottom.
If someone had a wire bending machine I suspect fabrication would not be difficult.
In the name of research I could test with / without the inserts when I eventually get one.

That's funny I have had the opposite experience, plenty of central deflectors coming up on eBay all the time but the two inserts rare as hen's tooth!

Worth bothering about? Nah.
