Should I extend the warranty again?

Well I had my reminder from BMW to say I can extend the warranty again but can't decide it's only really the lifter problems that have me worried otherwise I wouldn't even consider it. If I did extend would it be covered if I have the servicing done by a BMW specialist rather than my local dealer?

Pretty sure The bmw warranty states must be done by dealerships .

Ring them and ask......

Servicing has to be done by BMW with extended warranty.

Also it's very very unlikely they would do anything other than change a few of the HVAs which I would think would cost a lot less than the warranty premium.

They will change the head if that does not cure it. Which would a cost more than warranty premium. My experience , all be it under makers 3 year but still covered under extended.

I have no problems so far but am a bit worried about future problems, I wonder what percentage of cars are effected by this issue?
