Should I check my roof drain holes on a facelift model?

Hi Guys

I have a 2007 facelift 3.0 roadster and just wondered if I should check the drain holes or was the facelift model a better design regarding the roof motor?

Thanks

Did mine at the weekend, well worth it. My one learning that I would share is that the rubber filter and T shape tube can both be removed. Initially I just removed the rubber filter and then spent ages trying to get it back on the plastic tube whilst this was still in the drain hole, before I realised I could just pull the plastic tube out and put the rubber filter on it off the car, then push the whole lot back in.

I have no idea how to do this!? :?
Remove the inspection panel in front of the rear wheels using an 8mm and 10mm socket - 2x8mm bolts and 1x10mm nuts visible and 1x8mm bolt underneath.

Feel inside for a black rubber cap. This is attached to a bit of plastic tubing. If you are struggling to find it, pour some water on the soft top and it should come through the tubing. Once you have located it, pull both the tubing and rubber filter off. You will probably find a load of gunk in the filter, give it a wash. Get some curtain wire or somethign similar and poke around up in the tube, wash some water through whilst doing this.

Once it is all clear from debris, put it all back together again.

Ok so I need to check this is there a guide with pictures for numpties? as I wouldn't have a clue what to do :)

There is a guide in the how to but a lack of pictures. It really isn't a difficult one, once the panel is off and you feel about, it is obvious what to pull out and clean.
