Actually I did - fancied a new pair of specs so had a little browse online and picked out some - went down to Specsavers - didn't have the pair in stock but said they could get them in - came in yesterday - went down today - good job I waited to see them "in the flesh" - tried them on - reckon I looked like a cross between Harry Potter and Cosmo Smallpiece ( only old buggers like me will remember him ) even the girl assistant was trying not to laugh

I suppose my first mistake was to not show my wife when I was looking online and then not taking her today to give me her opinion - it's the same with clothes !

Anyway I have learnt my lesson and will return to specsavers with SWMBO before I choose again.

Never had any success with my varifocals from them even tho mine is a simple prescription

Cosmo was a star ! Knickers, Knackers Knockers was his catchphrase

I knew someone would ask - I'm not putting my ugly mug on here but here is the link to the glasses:

Go on laugh

Also you will note price - £69 - however as I also need varifocals , transitions , lense thinning - that will be £287 please sir , but for another £60 we can give you a free pair of sunglasses :? :?

Cosmo Smallpiece indeed!! :D
Think you made a wise decision in the end
