Short stubby aerials?

As i'm about to demonstrate, i'm useless :D
I've seen a few cars on here and the FB pages that have the nice short stubby aerials fitted and would like to get 1 for mine. I have DAB, does this matter as to which is the correct stubby for me? (see, stupid.)
If anyone has a link that would be very much appreciated

Dab is not handled through the same aerial, but DON'T DO IT, KEEP THE WHIP!!!

So now i'm sat here thinking, 'is greg pulling my chain' :? :? :?

I like an ice cream, but this is 1 whippy i'd like to get rid of

Go for it. Half the forum will still speak to you. I've replaced mine. Mine is a Peugeot stubby. Works just fine. Anyway, who needs a whippy when we've got sucn loooong bonnets? 8)

And at last, the voice of reason has arrived
I did see a link on a FB page that referred to the Peugeot stubby, I will look into it

If you listen to the engine rather than the radio a stubby is perfect... as easier & faster to wash when car cleaning

I like both. So I will keep both in the car. Probably leave a stubby on if it's going to be parked up in town for any duration. If it's a country run with the radio on, whippy. Radio will make little difference to the sound of a Supersprint. :driving:

Whippy/stubby is like Scotland V England :)

On a serious level you'll get worse reception with a stubby on FM, but if you're using dab it's not a big issue. Dab has a separate antenna altogether. It may be stuck into your windscreen near the dash

Can't comment on DAB but I have a stubby and get FM just fine, and that's on country roads in North Devon.

Can recommend the Peugeot/Citroen one, it fits much better than the others I've seen, even the BMW/Mini one. It just follows the contours of the base better.

This is where I got mine from last year, still has them in stock https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SHORT-ST...-BMW-VW-CITROEN-FIAT-MORE-6561N3/273677405968

That's the 1 I was after as had seen it mentioned on the FB pages, thanks very much

Obviously I have very much appreciated all other replies

The whippy is not just an aerial, it also keeps the car running well. You see, the car came out of the factory wearing it's slender whip, fit a stubby and it's like cutting off a finger, the car won't like it...be warned :|
If you insist on ruining your car, I can offer a home to your unloved whippy

I ordered the Citroen stubby, but it was a 5mm thread (like most of them). Mine is a 6mm base so it didn’t fit. :(

Whippy chasing now. You'd make a fine funeral director.
