For those that have had it done keen to hear what worked. I am trying to reduce the throw length so the throw is shorter and more rifle bolt like compared to factory.

I also need to get transmission oil changed. Car has done bout 43k miles but not a big fan of the gear shift.

Your top 2 lines sound like your looking for an ultra shifter, various brands on the market, some better than others, most require modding and or a custom Dssr.

Your last line makes me want to ask you if you’ve removed the restrictor from the clutch line?

Such a great car, enjoy.

Looking like either uuc with dssr or rogue engineering octane kits

Perhaps tranny mounts too

Not done the delay valve delete yet

All day he mounts butterflies, mounts butterflies, mounts butterflies,
And when he comes home he mounts me!🎼

Have a look at the CoolerWorx short shifter

Well this went sideways quickly 😂😂😂

I have a chassis-mounted shifter from RTD. Its their mini lockout lever and imo it's a cracking mod. The shift is short mechanical and precise with zero slack, and it brings the lever top close to the wheel which is great when on track.

The one particular benefit of the rtd is that you can mount it in reverse and therefore do not need to modify/cut the transmission tunnel plastic trim at all.

It's not oe though so I guess might look a little out of place in an otherwise standard car/interior.

Coolerworx do a nice shifter - beware they do require some modification of the plastic trim on the transmission tunnel to fit, and I believe their centering spring is a little weak...

The spring in mine has held up perfectly well for a number of years on a shelf in my garage…!
When I bought it, I got an E46 M3 mounting plate that fits the OEM transmission tunnel if turned around backwards (as with yours). One day, I’ll fit it a let you know if it works!
