As Covid restrictions are lifted, no longer able to roll more than 5 days holiday over.

I still have 25 day's to take this year. So i need to find something to do for 20 day's.

Idealy in short breaks. Any idea's ? UK Based please, want to drive :driving:
Done Holland in June and have Poland next week and next year have 30 day's available to long haul

2 night's in the The Grand, Brighton might be a starting point.

How about some long weekends around the Lake District, North Yorkshire,Scottish Borders.

Starting point is Folkestone Harbour

As far as you can get from the North and any where else for that matter's. So a a 2 night stay 3 day drive max :)
Funny enough, was looking at the Harry Potter hotel in York, just yesterday

York is a good choice as a base. Plenty to do and only a short drive for a day out in the Dales or to Whitby for the best Fish & Chips on the planet.

If you want a City break further afield would recommend Stockholm. Very stylish and no more expensive than London

Brighton is my home town and, while it's a great place to visit, I would caution anyone against driving into the city itself. Having two universities means a large student population with a vote biased towards the Green party and, thanks to the Green-controlled council, it's become one of the most car-hostile places in the country.

You'll be fine like this down there....

I wasn't impressed last time I went to York (early 2020). Too much tourist bollox. I'm surprised they don't charge to walk around the streets TBH. Seemed everything cost money and the hotels are expensive too.

Jurassic coast would be my choice from Kent. Not too far, well pretty and some nice roads.

North Norfolk coast is scenic and once the schools are back it's fairly quiet too. Quite a few nice driving roads and not too bad to get to from Folkestone.

Not understanding [ref]john-e89[/ref], bruised toe ?

[ref]PerryGunn[/ref], I've used the underground car park next to the Grand before, £ 16 for 24 hours if i remember right.
Also the marina multi story is free parking if you do not use the first 2 floors (Reserved for disabled and families)
Fished out of Brighton marina many many times and never paid for parking. Apart from that, parking in Brighton is an impossible task :o

Glad no one has mentioned London, never going there again if i can help it :D

I am a Suffolk boy, lived there 27 years before deciding on a change

Indeed. My favourite is Hunstanton; a real classy joint. Then you can travel around the Wash and sample the delights of Skegness and the 'jewel in the crown'...Mablethorpe!

Just to be clear, don't go to any of the above, they are complete shiteholes. Yes, I am a snob. :P
