Last night I walked out to my car to find a Target shopping car in the side of my car. At first I thought it had just blown into the side and maybe had a small ding...nope! :headbang: :headbang:
Now I have to call my insurance, get it fixed, and drive around my Wrangler!

I've heard that silver is one of the hardest colors to match! Ugh.....

A horrible situation to be in thanks to lazy sods who cannot be bothered to put their trolleys away where they belong.

Arghhh, bad luck :(

BUT, it is just the one panel... if you could find a silver front wing in good nick that could be a relatively cheap and easy fix... would be a complete arse if it had hit the wing AND/or the door!

unlucky! thats a real shame

i hope you gave the troller a good talking to and slung it somewhere!

like a couple have people have said, its one panel and could ahve been worse. it is still a shame that people are so careless, causing damage like this and not giving a sh1t about it.

:headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

echo everything everyone else says...

sucks big time, I hate lazy people who have no respect or consideration for others property

The swines... that blows!

It's worth having a look at a few posts and see which workshops people recommend near you - the insurance companies' people aren't always the best and most will let you specify where you want the work done as long as it comes in on budget! An assessor actually told a mate he didn't think their people were the best in town... but only when prompted of course. PH forums are worth a look.

Also, reference silver - to put your mind at rest, I've just had the bumper resprayed on mine, car park damage, and the match is spot on!

Good luck getting it sorted.

silver is hardest to match, yes. it won't ever be perfect sadly but with respray they can at least make sure that panel to panel it's ok.I have had hood and wing repainted and I can tell its different but most people can't unless you tell them. Sucks. :(

that does suck! Atleast your not hurt! :D Or... Did the trolley hurt you? :D

It was coming on pretty fast....maybe some whiplash or something! :P

I may try to find a good condition wing on ebay or something.

My insurance wanted a courtesy report from the police, and while he was filling it out, this lady was like "yeah, people do crap like that. I've done that before to someone." ......wow..... :violent1: :violent1:

I've been looking for a replacement wing, but with no luck. I'm assuming that a shop would just replace the wing instead of getting out the dents since there are so many creases in that one spot?

Feel for you mate but as said above find a good bodyshop they will match the Silver.

My Calibra in my Avatar had to have a new bonnet and bumper after a head on and the match was spot on and i am very fussy.

I also had the bumper and wing mirrors resprayed at a later date to remove all stone chips as i used to show the car won me two trophies so fear not

I'd want the wing replaced. That panel just in that area is not a simple surface. I doubt it'd ever look right without spending so much time that it'd be cheaper on labour rates to just buy a new one...!

Good luck with it :)
