Shocks and springs - recommendations

Hello,

I have a Z4 e85 2.5i - I believe its the M-sport as it has sports seats etc.

Its only done 35k :) but as a result everything is still stock and I find the ride quite hard (I've removed the run flats which made some improvement).

Looking to update the shocks and springs and want to go for more of a GT / touring feel than racey / track feel - if this makes sense!? I use the car for road trips not track days - so a comfortable ride with good handling is what I'm after.

Any recommendations would be great! Thanks

Regardless of the low miles, the whole suspension set up is now old, so looking at replacing bushes and potentially wishbones will be time/money well spent. Some wear is miles but lots is just age /degradation/corrosion.

As for the shocks and coils, if you want a GT / Touring feel (same here) the OE Sachs are hard to beat, especially when you consider the state of the roads. Don’t be put off by replacing like for like, after 20 years new parts will be night and day better than what you are experiencing now.

But most importantly, congratulations on picking up such a low mileage 6 pot. You have some happy miles ahead of you!

You can also browse compatible suspension parts and ready-made kits on the Autodoc Marketplace, where you can compare brands, prices, and OEM-quality parts for your vehicle.
