Shock/Spring advice

I've an 05 E85 (M54), the previous owner put some H&R springs on shortly before selling it...
The shocks are still OEM's and obviously shouldn’t really be combined with performance springs so I’m looking to replace the lot, either return it all to OEM or put a new spring/shock combination on.

I've looked at a few posts on the subject but still have a couple of questions.

Should I go for a coilover kit or normal suspension kit? Advantages/disadvantages?

My car currently sits about 30mm lower than normal from an appearance point of view I think it looks great... if a little impractical when it comes to speed bumps!
It handles like a dream, very little role even in high speed corners. Only complaints are pot holes and other bumps - you really do feel them with such rigid suspension AND RFT's.

So I'd like to keep it roughly 30mm lower, and possibly take the edge off the pot holes (I know change the tyres!). I don't do track days (although wouldn’t mind giving it a go in the future) but I do enjoy a spirited drive and windy country lanes or round about with a nice racing line!!

Attached a picture of how she currently sits (slightly exaggerated due to the slope)

Links/places to buy would also be appreciated, I’ve been looking at
http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/products/search_car/product.mhtml?car=bmwz4
They have a good selection but im struggling to differentiate between the possible combinations, if someone is able to recommend one kit over another them im all ears.

cheers

If you track you car a lot go for the coilover kit. If it's your daily driver go with Spring/Shock combo.
