Can you guys give me some tips on finding people to ship some wheels (without tyres).

Need an idea on rough weight if you have any ideas too (BBW 108s)

I've heard of some people finding companies on ebay?

I've used Paisley Freight (link below). Mixed reviews on the Forum but they did a good job for me.

I used wheelcouriers once. They are just a medium between you and DHL. All worked out in the end, but if anything goes wrong its impossible trying to get hold of anyone and when you do they are not very friendly.

Paisley Freight about 4 times now to ship sets of wheels
Excellent job every time

Remember they are all only booking agents anyway

http://www.shiply.com - it's quite simply brilliant.

You post details on there of what you want moving, when and where, and courier companies and other companies that have vans doing that route will have a bidding war on your behalf :D

I used Parcel2go a few times, no problem and good value. Again, just a booking agent. Wheels have always ended up going through DHL, who they have recently lost a LSD that I sold, which was disappointing, but I think (hope) that is the exception. Fortunately purchaser had specifically chosen NOT to have insurance, so it was his decision, rather than me trying to save £10.

Make sure the wheels are well packaged, I sent mine in two sets of two, faces together, bubble wrap between the faces, held together with HD cable ties on the spokes, and masking tape to protect the spokes from the ties. I think it was something bizarre like £17 for four 16" wheels, without tyres.
