Just been watching Tales from Northumberland with Robson Green,he visited The Ship Inn at Low Newton.
The sea food looks devine, and I thought that a trip to Low Newton next summer would definately make a great Z4 road trip.
I live in Washington, so if any other owners fancy a day trip, we could meet at Washington Services as a starting point. This post is just dipping my toe in the water to see if there is any interest.
The trip is at least 6 months away, so no dates fixed yet.

Hi Nick,I'm sure if its a arranged and carried through properly(unlike the Essex meet)then people will go.

Hi Nick,

Low Newton is indeed a lovely place but parking is a pain - set over a quarter of a mile back from the village on a descent before a rise (so can't be seen from the village). It's also very busy. You have to walk into the village from there - do you know it? Lovely little village square on the coast but double yellows everywhere bar the car park so as not to spoil it.

Great roads around there and then of course, there's Seahouses for lovely Fish and Chips and Bamburgh and it's sensational castle - bigger parking opportunities there. There's great roads around Craster further south, linking with Embleton and back through to Alnwick.
Warkworth to Alnmouth great twisties - lots of opportunities. . .(my wife and I are ex bikers)

Go for it Nick177 and if you would like, I can lend a hand - I live in Newcastle - My wife and I would come along in any case - great idea.

:driving:

Hi Nick, lovely countryside so depending on dates then I might be interested in coming down from Edinburgh and joining you :)

Used to stay at The Sportsman in Embleton and walk to Low Newton.
I'd love to join in but can't help but think that I'd rather stay and drink the beer than drive away and leave it .......
Keep us posted with dates all the same.
I might be teetotal by then :(

I live a short distance from Low Newton.... give me a shout when you have it all booked. I would love to come down
