All fitted and working well. Took me less than 15 mins plus a couple of extra mins to work out how to hide the extra bulk

It does various things including one touch roof up and down, and whilst moving. It also allows you to control how the windows, roof and mirrors (if you have folding mirrors) behave with the keys.

I keep going back and forth over a smarttop. My Z4 has auto-folding mirrors already, and I've got carly so programmed the roof to be operable up to 40 MPH, so the only thing I'd use it for is opening/closing the roof with one touch of a button. Which doesn't seem worth £300. But then again, closing the roof with one touch would be soooooo good.
Also your "one touch" is the cabin buttons and the remote on approaching and leaving the car. Also as you park you can press the dash button to close, turn off the car, remove the key, open the door and get out and walk away while it's still closing!BeardyJon said:

For instance if you are going to your car now you can press and hold the button on the remote while you are almost at the car door, but you cannot open the door otherwise the roof motion will stop even if you keep your finger on the button. With SmartTop you simply press from your normal distance and then get in.
But at the end of the day you have to justify it to yourself. Yes it is a lot of money just to open the roof (basically) and that's the point.
