Evening All

After 6 weeks of deliberation and chopping and changing my mind on paint and trim colour, yesterday I finally pushed the button on an immaculate '05 Maldives Blue 3.0 SE auto with beige leather. 2 owner car with just over 40K miles and she is immaculate - I've never seen such brilliant paint on a 7 year old car. I'll stick some photos up tomorrow.

Got a couple of projects in mind and the first thing is to get the iPhone connected for music - phone would be nice to have but that's secondary. What do you guys recommend? The car's got a single slot CD player and a multi-changer so is there an easy fix where you can take the multi-changer out and plug an iPhone adaptor in? The owner's handbook makes mention of retro fitting an aux socket which is another option. I had a Dension set up in my old 5 series which was pretty good.

Ideas and suggestions most welcome.

Cheers

Congrats! Maldives is such an awesome colour (and not too common either), so to find an 05 3L in such great condition is fantastic!

I'm running a Dension Gateway 300 but as you note installation would require removal of the CD changer. Not that I think a CD changer is all that much use these days so I'd probably pull it out and sell it. I'm very happy with my Dension system and would definitely use one again.

Here we go...

I'll get some interior pictures up when/if it stops hissing down

Cheers

Nice looking Zed shame it never stops raining so you can experience some wind in your hair motoring. Oooh to have hair

Welcome Kav. Great looking Zed and cant be many 3 litres in Maldives Blue. Phone/music wise Im no expert but the Aux cable is an easy (once you master centre vent removal!) and cheap retrofit. Plenty of threads on the forum for 3rd party solutions.

Nice daisies too. Also known as the greatest of all the 17" wheels
(still have a set for sale if anybody is interested  )
