Top down. Life's too short too worry about messy hair.

Being a Skinhead (definitely not a slap head) that's not an issue for me :D

That's Mrs Marlon's attitude too, she is the first to say drop the roof  The only issue we have is that she does like the heater blasting away on her feet - I wish it was dual climate control like my old Audi cos after a while my feet start to melt :(

Well said Carol,
this luckily is exactly my wife's attitude

I still never got all these comments about "the wife".

My gf (and the last ex before) loves my e89, but they did prefer the windows up when driving which is a good point because of the wind and heat loss. Strangely I only hear comments about the cars impracticality from guys, not girls. Only woman that's complained about my car is my mom and that's saying a lot.

Drop-tops, 2 seats, red interior, low height, silly storage space are all things that make the car fun. Black interior, high cars, 4/5 seats and fixed tops ain't no fun.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but your a young lad in comparison to a lot of the other male members of the forum.

Maybe when you have a wife or are older you may then 'get' these comments. Younger folk tend to have a more laid back attitude to things. As people get older this may change but not everyone gets older and becomes a fuddy duddy.

I've been driving convertibles over 10 years now and I have no inclination to ever drive anything different. I bought it for the roof off driving. My other half hates the roof off in town, not sure why he thought that may change when I got the Z'd because that exhaust note and engine noise is just addictive, especially in Sport.

Don't know! my Kuga AWD is a lot more fun in the snow than our Z4, :D

unfortunately having a wife ,is a common problem....

Edited. :D

 Went in the wife's Evoque in the end as the weather looked pretty rough and glad we did too, it lashed it down coming home, torrential monsoon stuff.

Plus we have some progress, she has agreed to go out roof down if it's not to go to work or a function etc, say lunch somewhere. Just need all the moons to align now ie, sunny warm day, the boy to be elsewhere, and she in a good mood.

Well two out of three is possible anyway.......
