Shelving unit question

I currently have the ski bag thing fitted and have done since I picked up my car. I also have the shelf unit. It is currently still in its wrapping but I think I read on here it is quite good and worth fitting. Having had a quick look I just wondered if it protrudes into the boot cavity much? Occasionally I have the boot very full and probably wouldn't have space if it came in too far.

On another note with a very full boot I realised I could fold the roof shelf down the other week (with a bit of fiddling). I was quite impressed with myself until on trying to drop the roof it caught on the briefcase I had hard up against the back. I think thankfully as it caught the centre of the roof it didn't twist/damage it so I did eventually manage to raise it and it seems fine now. My pants on the other hand are a different story.

The shelf unit does not protrude into the boot any more than the ski bag does (i.e., not at all). The shelf locates inside the compartment between the boot wall and the interior. I've changed mine as well. Easy to switch.
