Sigh - this isn't a religious war, it's an extremist one.
Religious extremists though, so a religious war. No?
Sure they're 'Religious Extremists', but it's not the religion that's declared war, it's the extremists (using religion as their excuse). Religion is part of it, but by implying that
anyone who's aligned with a different religion to you and works in an airport should be of concern (which my post was in response to) suggests that everyone within a religious group is involved, and they're simply not. It just means the you live in a little bubble and haven't ever integrated with people outside of your particularly small view of the world.
If i was an extreme Humanist (not sure if this exists, but i like the sound of aggressive secular humanism), and a group of my close extreme Humanist friends declared war on all people that aren't in my small insignificant sub group of morals, that doesn't mean instantly that everyone is at war with me and anyone else who's a Secular Humanist is at war with the world, it means i'm a naive ignorant idiot trying to impose
my subset of ideals on everyone else whether they like it or not. Nazi Germany was primarily Protestant/Catholic, they declared war on the world - particularly other faiths, it doesn't mean i was fighting for them.
Saying that, as a Humanist i
should probably declare war on all religion as it clearly poses a threat to our existence.
