Shall I paint the calipers?

Hi all.
My cast aluminium calipers look rough and I'm toying what to do with them.
They need painting but the question is which colour, nothing too bright, I've got to avoid the boy racer image .
I've got a 1/18 model Z4 in Maldives blue (same as mine) and it's got gold coloured calipers which I think don't look half bad.
Any got any opinions on which colour and also, should I prime them first.

Cheers.

Iv just bought some gloss black caliper paint off the bay as i didnt want them to stand out too much, gold should look good too, im not sure id want anything brighter like red/yellow/blue though! On the tin iv got it just says clean the surface well then apply with a brush, most caliper paints dont really need primer i think

I really like gold painted calipers from what I've seen..not sure about how it would match blue..maybe black would be better.

I use Hammerite smooth on the brake calipers/hubs which get very rusty. Done two Z4s an X5 and a 3 series. Used gold on my S2000. Silver keeps them looking OEM. Red looks OK on a black car.

Another gloss black here, our brakes aren't anything to shout about (IMO) so best subtle.
