Shaking/stuttering e

Hey guys again. I just have changed my Disa and the noise has disappeared. Thnx to the forum...
But i have one more problem which i thought was due to Disa but apparently is not. Sometimes( now its more often) when my car is on drive and stationery. Or on a traffic light the engine starts shaking and stuttering and the rpm is jumping. My RPM on drive when stationery is halfway between 0 and 1k and when its on neutral its one bar down from the 1k. Does anyone have an idea what it can be caused by? sometimes shaking is very hard like the car tries to move forward but there is not enough power and the rpm slightly jumps in a a small range.. During a regular drive when, when not stationery no problems at all, engine works perfectly.

Sounds like coil packs are almost about to die...

But I think we need to now more hence my 'Automatic?' query. Tigraner states that this happens when stationary and as many US vehicles are automatic this could be a gearbox autoclutch problem with the vehicle in 'D' and the vehicle being held on the footbrake.

Also guys i wanted to ask is the Rpm on drive stationery at 500 normal? and when neutral 750 normal? when i start up cold engine it is 1000....

Btw today when i was driving the car it disappeared. i think it might be the bad gasoline or it was raining hard here for last couple of days, that water somehow got into the gas tank.... the main thing the engine works fine, but still what you guys think about my rpm? is it too low?

My 2003 2.5i (auto) had a similar issue - it felt like it was 'shuddering' occasionally when in drive and stationary. I'm used to the rev needle being solid as a rock at idle.

The dealer replaced a coil pack and it has mostly gone, but isn't quite perfect.

The dealer said if it wasn't cured, it could be the hydraulic lifters that needed replacing (I also have a faint ticking). I haven't taken that further yet as changing the coil pack got it working well enough for now. The shuddering also stops when warmed up for me, which might also be an indication of lifter related issues apparently.
