Shadow chrome / black chrome on BMW wheels…

As the title suggests looking at using these techniques on my Yellow Peril’s wheels..

Any pictures, tips and pointers on these techniques ?

To get shadow chrome the Wheel is usually powder coated black and the silver flicked over the top to get the depth of colour.

I think shadow chrome is starting to age. My current car had them back in 2013 (with a previous owner) I thought it looked good back then but not so keen now.

I was thinking Shadow Chrome might look good on my Silver Grey car when I had the wheels refurbed, but went off the idea when the place doing them said they couldn't guarantee matching it if a wheel got a scuff.
