Sexy muther fooker

They don't do it for me - I much prefer the AXE GTS wheels that mr wilks has just fitted

Not bad but i need at least spun forged to save some weight.
Why do you think that - is it because people commented on the extra weight of your BBK?

Don't let people wind you up. Yes, your BBK added unsprung mass but, for the sort of use your car gets, it doesn't make any difference - you're not tracking the car or entering traffic light drag races

JE even if your taking your car on track once in a while. Dont get hung up on this unsprung mass must save weight problem. This how the bloody turbo thing happend!!
People wound you up about the car being a 2.0l so what just enjoy your car mate.

If you want a quick agile track car buy a caterham.

In fact if you didnt do the turbo and didn't buy these wheels. You probably could.

And your original project a nice looking clean zed is still that??

nice wheels .... look delicate ... will show the big brakes off a treat

MM dont swear ... suggesting a burgervan tusk tusk :x :D

My new 19'' wheels weigh a fair bit more than my old 18'' wheels. I haven't given it a second thought TBH as I bought them as they look better than the old wheels. Maybe it's just me but I buy alloys based on cost and looks as my car just gets used on public roads. If weight really is an issue just remove the passenger seat and replace with an aluminium deck chair or one of those inflatable arm chairs. Much cheaper.

It would need to be clad in diamond stitched leather though - more weight back

I just want quality wheels not reps or BMW ones either.
The weight thing does play on my mind but only as far as lightweight alloys nothing else or drastic will happen....oh apart from the light weight bonnet.

I do admire you as I also have ''zeditis'', for which there seems to be no cure. My friends and family laugh at my car exploits. When I took a whole day to de-ginger my headlights a few weeks back, it was in the knowledge that as the halo's from superbrightleds (thanks johnny) hadn't yet arrived, I would need to re-split the lights etc, which I did this weekend. Only an idiot with ''zeditis'' would do this. :headbang: I simply couldn't wait and had to get the clear hockeys on as soon as.

i think they look nice, but i'd not want to pay that much, its double what i'd want to pay

So hang on you split the headlights to deginge, resealed them with the knowledge you have to it again when the AEs arrived?
Dude your worse then me

LOL. It's pure madness. I knew it was ridiculous but just couldn't help myself. The worst bit was when the halos arrived and I realised I had to do it all again. And as you know it's a real PITA. The lights look the dogs danglies now but I pray that I never have to do it again! I chose cool white (from memory) after reading your post earlier in the year, really pleased with how bright they are, even in today's sunshine.

jonny i was under the impressive you wanted lighter wheels to actually do a complete build on the car along with the turbo , aiming to get as high performance from the car as possible, i wasn't under the impressive it was because people commented on the weight of the BBK???

so if I'm right and you want to continue to build a street weapon that you can really enjoy and lean on definitely stick to getting a lighter rim you'll be surprised how much difference a set will make, they can really add some feel back into the steering too. try and keep to 18s however .

Nooooo not me the wheels  .....Breyton Fascinate spun forged, 19" for £1700......time for the chunky monkeys AKA 313 reps to go and i feel these are a top contender for the Z4 of Jonny Essex.
Thoughts, Banter, arguements, and conflicts of interest commence.

I think they great JE ,they don't look too chunky just right ,both these and Mr wilks AXE wheels in my opinion fit the image and look of the E85 shape really well, I wonder if 19" would work on my E89 , :driving:
