Interesting TV on BBC2 at the moment, all about the bridge, unseen and all

Yes, thats all the lads I work with, but I didnt get to feature. - They didnt want to give away the Security details !
It was hown on BBC Wales last week.

A four week mini series would have been nice and they could have shown a lot more, including the Toll Plaza's, Traffic Systems and even the New Bridge.

Very interesting anyway.

I remember that you worked on the bridge Alan. Amazing when you see what goes into the maintenance of the bridge. Those box sections spaces where quite impressive, do you get to see those places too

yes a fascinating programme but could easily be a series as it really only touched the surface. Loved the old footage of the ferry - 19 cars jammed on so tight that the drivers couldn't get out

Yes, I go everywhere as I have cameras and detection systems right across it. I regularly go up it, in it and underneath it. Even Zedwards been to the top of the towers !

Following the recent programmes on the bridge, there is another documentary on this evening (Weds 19/10) regarding the construction of the Severn bridge 50 years ago, including a lot of archive footage.

"Bridging the Gap", BBC4 @ 9-10pm

(Dont watch it if you're a Health & Safety Inspector as the workers will all be wearing Donkey Jackets and flat Caps, whilst 400ft up with no harnesses ! !
