Severely pi55ed off!

Having been in agony for about a week, the Dr told me yesterday, I have gout.. Given me some strong painkillers which I took before bed last night, hence I was sleeping soundly, until - My phone rang @ 2am, it was my neighbour and best friend opposite, telling me to get downstairs, which I did pronto. The wife and eldest daughter were oblivious watching TV in the lounge, and lights were on all over the house (as per)

Get's outside, and Tim tells me that the alarm on my XC90 has just been going off, and his daughter had just checked the CCTV, and seen 2 lads in hoodies, on mountain bikes cycling off. She checked back and they had been on the drive for six minutes..

So we walked around and checked the car and van (side of house is floodlight dusk until dawn) and couldn't see anything. Then I looked inside the Volvo and saw the glovebox light on, and the contents of same all over the passenger seat, along with the remnants of the NS window :censored:

So phones the police, who weren't that interested, but 5 mins later an unmarked car pulls up on the drive and out get 2 bobbies.

What I can't understand is why they went in through the passenger side, as I always park the car and van side by side in front of the garage, with the mirror literally mm away from the wall, so there is pretty much a zero gap on that side?? Closer inspection revealed footprints on the bonnet, so the little :censored: had been kneeling on there and leaning over, WTF is that all about?

Car was parked closer than in this pic to the wall!

So annoyed, and to top it all, NOTHING is missing, and they didn't touch the £150 Snooper dash cam..

Fcuckers!

Mike

filthy chavs! string them up.
snooper cam didn't catch anything? i know some cams have motion detectors and start recording when in parked mode.
Even though there's not much of that kind of crime here where I live in Holland, being an expat from Liverpool it's habit to leave the glovebox open and nothing on show.
Hope insurance covers damage mate.

No, I've turned off the motion sensing, as with only using the car a couple of times a week, it was draining the battery :(

Won't be claiming on insurance, as my motor trade policy has a £500 excess, so I'll just replace the glass tomorrow..

Mike

s**t man. bet that's gonna sting for a bit. good luck.
separate battery for the cam perhaps? at least you might have a chance of catching the little bleeders faces if it happens again. petty criminals are usually rampant resividists who the police get to know over time....

oh wow look at that - instant censuring for my choice language! cool.
I wonder if it works for other words? mind if i test in ur thread lol?
s**t
piss

so i'll be able to get away with using the phrase 'pisspoor titwank' in any future posts. lolol.

Sorry all. No offense meant. I'll keep my potty mouth under control.....

 Hopefully this will go some way to cheer up the OP after the pisspoor titwankers attacked his car!

Chalked up to experience.. I'm probably lucky that in 30yrs of driving, it's only the 2nd time I've had a vehicle broken into.

Doesn't help that I've had a brand new 16ch HD-SDi DVR and six cameras sat in the back of the shop "to be installed at home" for the last year, this could be my motivation to get it sorted..

Mike

An absolute pisser about the car :x

Re your Gout an old mate of mine suffered from gout and he swore by concentrated Celery seed capsules.
I have no experience myself as I'm not a sufferer but have a look, they worked for him.

Concentrated cherry has been mentioned, but not celery.. Hmm..

I've been done twice in the past Mike, I'd string the little ***** up by their necks...thieving little bastards.. :x :x

Oh hell gout, how painful is that, I get it if I have too much beer, you have my sympathy pal, I know how much it hurts. I got anti-biotics from the doc, they break the crystals down that form in the joint creating the pain. Beer brings it on in mine, do you drink much?

Not a big drinker, and if I do it's usually vodka & tonic!

And yes, it's BLOODY painful, had to drive the van this morning for the first time with it, as used the car all week (auto) and I'm also in our shop for 13hrs today so that's gonna be fun, NOT!

Aye, and when I asked my 16yr old daughter to come to the cash & carry and shop today, to help with lifting and serve customers etc, her response? "Why should I?" Which only raised my blood pressure further :fuelfire:

Mate of mine has gout, absolutely swears by the cherry stuff. Stick 'cherry active' into Amazon and you'll find concentrate juice, or tablets.

Shitter about the car buddy, sorry to hear.

Where is the OBD port on the car? Common M3/C63/RS4 theft involves smashing the window, getting an arm in (tucked tightly in towards the front of the car to avoid the alarm sensors) and plugging into the OBD to reprogram/disable the alarm. Perhaps they were aiming to take the car and got spooked.

Yup that would boil my p1ss as well. And like you I have been done and like you nothing taken. I just don't get it. :o

Allopurinol is your friend for gout.
