setting up the M-Sport seats

Any tips on how to get comfortable in these seats.... there are adjustments for distance back/forward, height, tilt, thigh support ( no lumbar support adjustment) .... I was wondering if anyone knew which order to do these adjustments.... or even any tips on how to set them up. FWIW, I am a little over 6ft tall.

Many thanks

Just adjust them until they feel right. I know that doesn't help, but I usually start with the forward/back and height then give a little tush wiggle to settle in, then check them again. They really should be snug.

Tilt up, down or neutral. Trouble is that I have never had seats with so many adjustments before... so I am unused to the tilt and thigh support bit.

( the heated part is really nice though ! :D :D )

Adjust until it feels ok right now, then give a tweak. You might want to slide the thigh support out a click or two and drive a while with it. Tilt I keep pretty neutral as you can slow circulation to your legs if it's tilted too far up at the front.

I'm 6' and adjust by first getting the leg length to pedals correct so they can be operated easily.
Next I'd do height, which is usually as low as possible being fairly tall.
Next I'll get the back rake comfortable, which will probably be well back, but just off the headrest so nothing touches.
Now the steering wheel. Up and down to get instruments visible, then back and forth until you can just flop your wrists over the top. That should give good steering control.
Finally juggle the squab and thigh support to be comfortable without interfering with pedal control.

Advantage for me is I rigged mine to be electric so I then lock it all in :)

From there you'll soon know when you drive if all is well.

Thanks all for your tips... I had totally forgotten about the steering wheel adjustments which adds another couple of things to consider.

The best that I can find on the net is ....

Electric memory etc is a good idea... but I don't have it.

I can just have my arms straight with my hands on the top of the steering wheel and right back in the seat (so i guess wrists on the top of the steering wheel would be comfortable), is this the "correct" distance you should aim to be sat at? Sometimes i think i'm to near the steering wheel but my legs are about right to the pedals (can just get the clutch down fully).

I have been told numerous times that a good rule of thumb is that if you can just get your wrists to bend over the top of the wheel while sat back in the seat will give a nice bend in the arms when holding the wheel normally, to allow control of the steering.

Unless you wear a baseball cap and you have to have your arms fully stretched to reach the wheel of course ...
