Can you default sport setting?

Just wondering if you can default sport setting from comfort so I don’t have to always select it from the menu each time I turn the car off and back on?

"Select it from the menu"?? :?
What menu? It's one press of the button!! That's it, just press the Sport button once (or twice for Sport +)

Far too dangerous in BMW's opinion for it to stay in sport mode.....
When my car steered awful before i tinkered with suspension and connected throttle adapter (highly recommend) i always had to run in sport mode and put up with heavy steering. Now i can drive with comfort normal mode but have the greater than sport+ throttle response.

Did you consider a tuning or remapping like MHD instead ?

Throttle box is cheaper & less intrusive than a proper remap TBH.

If you want the 'feel' of more power, they are really super effective. The modern ones are easily tweakable (some even with an app) & 5 minutes to remove.

Also absolutely no chance of being spotted in logs or detected by a dealer to invalidate warranty etc.

If you want more go, highly recommend you try one out before writing them off.

Makes my 23i feel so much more driveable.
Wouldn't be without the throttle adapter it now.
So the one you linked, is that the exact one you've got fitted?
If so, where did you place the controller, or what sort of size is it?

I drive my 23i in Sport mode all the time, just would love to have some more usability out of it. Also need to get around to removing the CDV, bloody hate that.

Black box goes under carpet next to the pedal.
Then usb lead up to where the ash tray was on my car, then the display plugs into that.
Once set you can if you want (why? ) remove display, it remembers last mode.

One of those things you get use to so start on the lower settings and work your way up.

Thanks very much, something seriously worth thinking about

I had one (or something similar) years ago on an old merc clk430 - big v8 engine, but felt pretty lazy & sluggish.

Added one of these, set it midway - car was an absolute beast.

Mega.

Something i do notice, perhaps reverse placebo effect, car feels like it's getting use to the throttle adapter setting and toning or tuning down slightly. Or my foot brain is adjusting to peddle movement.
I wonder if i set it back to normal mode for day it would unlearn the effect of the adapter.
Tomorrow will try highest setting, think it's 3.9
That was too much, any hesitation pulling away it would bunny hop, not good in crawling traffic..

I think it's all in your mind TBH.

How to tell? Go hire a 1 litre ford fiesta (or similar) for a day. Drive it around all day.

Then get back in the z4. It will feel like a ferrari.
