Price reduction to stimulate some interest as they really are just cluttering up the Garage! £250.

Having sold the Z4 it's time to make some space in the garage by selling a full set of 17" Alloy wheels fitted with 225/45 91H Nokian WR-A4 run flat winter tyres. Been driven for less than 5,000 miles over winter 2017-18 and 18-19. All tyres have 7-8mm of tread. No damage to any tyre.

Wheels are RIAL X10 in silver 8J x 17 OS30 fitted with TPMS. Some kerb rash on the wheels (see images).

Available in Surbiton (KT6), on a buyer collects basis for £250.00

Pictures of rims, tyre type and original invoice with precise specifications attached.

With winter closing in now is a good time to get your winter tyres sorted.

Hey, I don't know much about winter tyres at all so have a few questions, but I'm interested in this offer...

Are these considered to be good tyres? I couldn't see much in the way of reviews, so might need a bit of guidance.
Looking at your post history, you ran these on an E89 20i? If so that's great as that's the same car as mine, down to the colour as well. I'm on the stock tyres which are staggered, but I note that these aren't? Will this be an issue?

Also, how do you set up the TPMS system so that the car recognises the new tires?

If you have any pics of your car with the rims and tyres on it would be great to see what they looked like.

Any help you can give is really appreciated

Hi felix, you appear to have inputted the wrong sizes for these on your examples, they’re all 225/45/17
I have the same square set up on my 20i with no issues

In answer to your questions. The Nokians have a solid reputation, especially on snow - what else would expect from a Finnish brand? I spent several years working in Sweden in the early 2000s and Nokian's were always highly rated as a brand. The tyre test ratings change from year to year but when I bought these in late 2017 they were well rated. I recall that, at the time, overall the Continentals were considered better, but the Nokians were best in snow. Try taking a look here: https://www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk/test/car-tyre/winter.html

I always found they drove superbly on the Z4 2.0idrive that we ran. And the few days I had them on snow they were very confidence inspiring. Instant traction, almost no activation of the ESP and steered and stopped predictably. This in conditions when on the summer tyres I simply wouldn't have driven the car. And they never struggled in dry or wet conditions either which is arguably more important for a southern British winter. All I can say is that I liked them and they seemed to suit the Z4 and they made both my wife and I very comfortable driving the car in wintry weather.

As for sizes our Z4, now sold, came with the M pack, so the different sized tyres front and rear on 19" rims. But these are a straight swap as this tyre size is standard fitment on many Z4s. I believe that it's also BMW's recommended sizing for winter tyres. I'd recommend this site for checking out wheel and tyre combinations for almost any car - you enter the sizes at OEM and your proposed fitment and it tells you any variations.

As for TPMS you put the wheels on and go through the TPMS reset using the column stalk (as per the handbook). It takes 2 or 3 minutes and you've reset to the new wheels and tyres.

Attached the only picture I have of them on the car. It was taken more for artistic purposes (I'm a photographer) and is in B&W, but it offers a fair idea.

& worth every penny imo

I have the same on our F11 & my daily drive Yeti running them all year round , through the warmer months they match a decent brand summer tyre no problem with the added bonus of being a decent winter / wet weather tyre too .
Pity i don't need these or it would be deal done

I would have had them for my 330i if it hadn't come with a 2nd set of wheels with winters fitted. Mind you they are much better looking wheels than the ones I've got.
