Set of 17" 103s with good tyres

Stuart (bigwinn) is breaking a 2.2 with a very nice set of 103s on, all with decent tyres.
Sadly, it appears that no-one is interested, yet these are in far too good condition to go to the tip.
So Stuart and I have had a little chat.
I have an old set of wheels which I will let Stuart have for free as he needs to keep the shell rolling for it to be finally taken away.
This will means Stuart can remove the 103s and offer them to forum members for free.
This has to be a better idea than throwing them away, even if you only want them for a winter set.
It also would mean that both Stuart and I have given a little back to the forum that has given us so much.
Only stipulations are that you collect from Stuart (please speak directly to him to arrange anything), and that you please do not see this as a way of profiteering by selling them straight on again. (On this point we will have to trust you)

If nobody wants them for living permanently on a car, I could find a use for them to keep my car off stands when I get my 224s refurbished.

Once the 224s are all sorted I’d offer the wheels back to the forum for the next person to benefit from them.

I meant you would be able to raise funds for the forum more easily this way. I've not been here long but 103s tend not to get a lot of love here.

Speak directly to Stuart please. I'm meeting him Monday to pass on my tatty wheels so after that he should be able to sort something.

That is a fair point. I think we were thinking more of helping out other members rather than raising funds, but of course every little helps.

My part in this is to give Stuart replacements to keep his breaker mobile. After that I'll leave it to him to distribute the 103s the best way he can.

What you could do... rattle can them in a distinctive colour ( ie dark grey, with one brightly coloured pair of spokes per wheel, say) and keep them as forum wheels, to be passed on between members. See who can snap them on their car in the most interesting place.

If this was a couple of years ago i could have borrowed them for a trip to spa francorchamps.
