My e86 is nearly due for an inspection II service and I am looking at taking it to a specialist BMW independent to have the works carried out (cost £299 compared to £429 at main BMW dealer).
I'm not bothered by having an independent stamp in the service book rather than BMW as if I were buying my car I wouldn't mind where the work was carried out as long as it had been done.
I do however have the monthly comprehensive insured warranty on my coupe so my question is - if in the future the car was to have something go wrong and I wanted to claim off the warranty to fix it at BMW dealer, could they potentially kick up a fuss and refuse to pay as the vehicle had not been serviced by BMW?
Thoughts?
