When I bought my car last March it was showing a service due in xxxx miles (less than 1500 iirc). However the car had had an oil service 3000 miles and 12 months previously but as it was done on a time based interval rather than service indicator the BMW dealer did the service, stamped the book but forgot to reset the service indicator.
However the BMW indy that I bought the car from being the good guys they are didnt want to sell the car showing a service due so they looked at the service book saw that the last service was an oil service and promptly did a full inspection 1 service. At this point the car was showing 12000 miles on the clock. They reset the indicator and now the car is now showing its ready for an oil service.
Question is should I try and get the car back in sync with the norm which appears to be:
Oil Service circa 10K
inspection 1 around 20-25K miles
Oil Service 30-35K
Inspection 2 45-50K
or just get an oil service done and have the inspection 2 done at the next service ?
TIA
Paul
