Servicing costs

Anyone know how much servicing costs are for the M's?

I was told when I bought mine that it was similar to 3.0 and would be around £300.

However, someone on the TT forum who's just got a 3.0 coupe was told that 1st service costs are around £650 and second service £950.

Is this right???

1st service after running in will be an oil service on the M. Cost maybe £180-200, shop around though.

Then order is Inspection1, oil service, Inspection 2, oil service, inspection 1 and so on.

Cost - Inspection 1 - £500-600ish can vary though.

Cost - Inspection 2 - £700-1000, again shop about.

Inspection 1 likely at say 20-25K miles depending on your driving

Inspection 2 likely at 35-45K miles depending on your driving

Jeebus.

So really I've not been given the correct info by my dealer, although they may have referred to the 1st oil service then.

Mmm.

Although I'll probably never get to the inspection 1 anyway as I doubt I'll have my car for longer than 3 years and doubt I'll do anywhere near that mileage. The next service will be the oil, and I presume that will be when the cars 18 months - 2 years old.

Suppose I should have looked into it a bit more although it wouldn't have stopped me going for the car anyway.

Thanks for the info

quoted by my dealer....

oil £177
Insp 1 £661
Insp 2 £873

the sequence goes oil, 1, oil, 2, oil, 1 oil, 2 etc. Depending on (ab)use reckon on circa 15000mls between services

Brake fluid c £70 every 2 yrs
Coolant every three

He also said inspection 2's on 'properly driven' cars usually require brake replacement and customers don't get much change from £2k......

Oh well :)

Service isn't free in Europe?
Unfortunately not. And after 3 years, a warranty renewal is nearly £2k with a hefty excess on each claim too. And 85k USD for an ///M in the first place

And don't even mention the lack of Hooters :D

I'm just hoping my pads and disks last longer than my old 320cd M Sport

Had front pads and disks changed @ 21k miles, and rear at 24k miles.

And that was done FOC under service/maintenance plan, so werent changed for the fun of it.

It's possible to a service inclusive package for all cars except ........... M cars

Anyway it's only money and you can't take it with you when you go!

Thanks for the info. Think I'll ask my dealer for a quote also then. Jese - I better make sure I don't get to the brake replacement stage!!

senwar eeeeeeeek! At least you'll only get to Inspection I at worst, which isn't too bad really.
I know mate. Ouch. Bloody dealer being 'economical' with the truth.

However, as I say, I'd have still gone for it anyway, so can't moan really (although I bet I do come inspection 1 time!!)
