Serviced today at Douglas Park Glasgow, at 20,780 miles. 130 miles over schedule.

Couple of hours, car got a clean bill of health. Total invoice £0, got to love that Black Friday service inclusive plan. :D

Declined a wash (of car, not me before you lot bloody start) but magnanimously let them hoover the car.

Sounds like the service pack working well.

Why just hoover the car. Have they not hoover you after self service? You can request this and they can still claim the money from your service pack :fuelfire: :fuelfire:

This has been one of the funniest threads I've come across in a while. Thank you. American message boards need this humor, all complaints and boasting

This is nothing. Stick around it can get a lot better, or worse, depending on your outlook.

Mine is asking for a service a lot earlier than 20k. :(

It’s condition based servicing logic…

If you do a lot of stop / start or crawling in traffic etc it will effect the logic so it calls for service sooner..

I hope mine can ask for a service a lot earlier than 20k miles as I have the service pack. However, it looks like I'm on track to achieve 20k service interval.

Mine has hit 13k and is asking for a brake fluid change

Brake fluid is time based
From memory its Three years from new and then every Two.
cheers. Not quite 3 years from first registration but BMW from memory go by date of build so February will be about right even though it was first registered in June.

Been quoted £76 by dealership but they will give it a free check over and diagnostic check so will go with it.

Yes, my 20i was built in Nov '21 and according to the app currently wants its first service in Nov '23 or (another?) 13,000mi. Brake fluid in Dec '24 and a 'vehicle check' service in Nov '25 or 33,000mi.

(Tangentially, the 'happy anniversary' email I got from my dealer just after Christmas appears to have been triggered based on the date of delivery to them rather than date of first registration / sale too - for various reasons they were sitting on it for a month before I got to collect it!)

Been quoted £415 for my first service. That’s steep for an oil change!

Should have bought the service inclusive mate. 8)
From what I have seen, all the service pack does is spread the cost over however number of years. Is there any actual savings to be made?

If all you need is an oil change, I would be going to an Indy
