Hi
Great forum, i've been a guest for a while but now finally got around to joining!
I maybe being a numty but I am a little confused over the servicing on my Z4.
Is a 2006, 2.0i SE with 11000 miles on the clock. I bought it last April from a BMW main dealer.
It has no service stamps in the book apart from the PDI so I assume its never had a service.
When I switch the car on it is saying that is needs an Oil Service in 4000 miles time, when I push the little "clock" type button it comes up with 03/08 untill I read the book I assumed that this meant the service was due is 4000 miles or by 03/08 which ever came sooner. Now as I understand it the brake fluid needs changing on the 03/08 and the oil service only goes by miles - is this correct?
Is it right that the brake fluid needs changing before the first oil service? seems a bit odd to me. Does this mean if I only do 3000 miles this year the car will go 3 years without an oil change?
Does anyone know the rough costs of a brake fluid change and an Oil service?
Many thanks!
