Service Notification

So my dash has been rapidly counting down to my service being due. Got down to 200 miles before due so I booked her in with the dealer. Great news that the previous owner had a service pack which I didn't realise so it's a freebie...

Anyway I drive to the dealer today & service is showing as 200 miles overdue. Hand my key in and the woman stuck the key in some machine and said "you do realise your service isn't due for 4700 miles?". I made her check it again as my dash is definitely showing overdue. She said the key is definitely showing it isn't. I left it with them to sort out and am now awaiting their call...

Anyone else had a similar issue? :erm:

Did you give them a key you don't use. IF so that could be the answer as it won't have up to date info stored on it.

They suggested that but no it's the key I use every day and the key I used to drive to the dealers...

2010 could be MOT or inspection depending on the miles or even rear brake check 30K for this but it should show on the key reader. Always get a copy of the key reader so you can check and keep an eye on it. You can do it via obc and stick when the cars running but not moved off, service and shows dates miles on the items.

I had the opposite went in for brake oil change and came back with oil service on top, where it was showing 4K for this, I refuced to pay and promised myself to get the key fob data. They checked the data and I was right.
