Service indicator

Hi, just joined forum today.
I have a 2019 G29, white with magma red interior ( more orange than red!).
The next service in the schedule isn't for a year, but in the centre of the dash I get a 16k miles and date reminder. I've done the press start button three times thingy and that just resets service intervals.
Any ideas to remove reminder on start up? Never used to be there.🤔🤷🏼‍♂️.
Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome to the forum, it was feature on my 2021 Z4 and still is on the 2025 Z4. I do not believe you can delete this message in iDrive.

Thanks for reaching out.
I've looked in idrive can't see owt, unless I'm not looking in the right place.
Just my OCD. Never showed for brake fluid, but giving me 12 months warning for engine oil!🤷🏼‍♂️

You can’t delete it unfortunately. Even if you take it to a BMW garage and ask for only part service it won’t delete until you have the full service indicated. Just having my first major service even though mine is 8,000 short it’s timed so has to be done. Did want to change the oil anyway but the service requires plugs and filters so has to be done. Just for your info. BMW even with a negotiated discount was over £120 more than a local garage here in Sunderland which is BMW approved and does update all the BMW service records and the idrive.

Specialist retuning garage but also services BMWs. Was recommended by fellow forum member who travels from Scotland to have his Yellow peril remapped. Used them several times now.

I had a hunch you were going to say them!
About three years ago I had my 208 GTi mapped by them, great result transformed the car. Reasonable price too.

They have moved about 5 mins down the road from Leechmere but all same staff and pricing. Mine is booked in for service next Friday. The only difference now is no seating area for customers so have to use small garden centre around the corner or 10 minutes walk up into the town centre.
