Service Indicator Query

My car is exactly 4 years old, yet there is only about 14,000 genuine miles on the clock, but the service indicator is now nagging me for a service.

My car was last serviced 2 years ago when I bought it by the main dealer.

I've gone through the dashboard settings and get the following screens, but don't really know what they each mean and if I REALLY need to service the car now (for extended warranty purposes)

I'm sure an E89 expert will chip in, but yes BMWs require a service every two years minimum regardless of mileage, and it's normally two years between brake fluid change as well. Apart from risking reliability issues you will hammer resale prospects and the value of such a late, low-mileage car. It's completely counter productive to even contemplate skipping the service.

Yes thats correct I had to do my previous car at 2yrs (8.5k miles)

Its not easy to see with such large photos but from the look of it, you need the Oil Service, Inspection, Brake Fluid Services in Oct ie now and you MOT is due in Nov. The front and Rear Brake Services are 20K and 30K miles into the future.

I'm not familiar with BMWs extended warranty but if it works on the same principle as other Vehicle Manufacturers warranties you usually get 1000 miles or 1 months grace. If you dont get the car serviced within these constraints I'd suggest your warranty will be void.

Hope this helps
