Service History AUC

did you not get it in writing what was agreed???

some school boy errors here scotty HOWEVEr you seem to be winning on the warranty front, get push for everything you can whilst its in this 6 month stage ! GL keep up updated!

Good news today, they have apologised for the mix up with the lamp and are going to cover the £200 lamp cost. The original person dealing with the car was back from hols today and has sorted it.
Yeah, I messed up with the warranty. I had a ton of paperwork when I bought the car and missed it. It is their policy to issue a certificate for the warranty, which they didn't do.
This was poor on their part as I would have then known for sure it was six months and not 12. The website does says 6mths for Sytner select, although they were originally selling it as a BWM approved car which comes with 12 and this is why the salesman has got mixed up and told me 12. I could try take it further as they failed this step to issue a cert.
What's annoying is to me it feels like selling under false pretence. I could have haggled for more money off had I known at the time.
ah well. It's had about £2K covered so far. Just hope that's it for a while. They have had the car for 7 days total so far. Cheers Scotty

So this wasn’t a BMW AUC in the end then?

Which usually means that the specific conditions that need to be met for it to be sold as an AUC could not be met...but we don't know what it was!

It could be that it simply missed a service, or that it had 'wrong' tyres :P

Never ceases to amaze me how many of these cars haven't been maintained properly. It's rarer to see one that has than it is to see one that hasn't.

Exactly where I was going, although even a missed service, or late by 8 months can still be sold AUC, as it is only a guideline.

It's back in the thread somewhere. Service history was all good until the last oil service which went over on time but not miles. Think it did 11K miles over 3.5yrs.
