Afternoon all,

So after a short time of owning, it is time for a service and to have them check over the car as i have a few issues.

1) Vague Steering
2) Pulling to the left
3) Pull when changing lane
4) Knocking/rattle from rear

I think i have either a rear spring broken or the bushes at the rear have gone, as over bumps there is a ass wobble which seems to have got worse the last week or so.

Car is booked in on Tuesday so will keep this updated.

Good luck, doesnt seem to be anything major, just watch they dont pull your pants down on costs.

Just checked and 3 are Continental Contact Sport 3 and another non brand. I think they are runflats!?

Also I noticed that the two at the front are different makes and one is a lot newer than the other. I assume this isn't helping the situation either with odd tread depths?

Run flats upset these cars and odd tyre sets don't help either. Get non run flats and you will see a vast improvement

So i just had a call from the garage and he has said that the bushes need changing at the front of the car.

one side has a polly bush and another a cheap normal bush so i have asked him to sort it out for me.

everything else on the car is looking good which makes me happy.

Will need some new tyres at the rear in the next couple of months and one on the front has a bulge but i am happy that they need changing as i wanted to swap them for non runflats anyway.

All in all it could have been worse.

now i haven't got him to do the service as I intend on doing this myself.

No wonder its not driving right, I would be concerned why they are different along with the tyres. Have you owned the car long?

I haven't owned the vehicle long.

I am not too bothered as the price was right and didn't pay much at all for the car, its only done 60k and that's with me adding 6k in the last few months i have owned it.

nothing major wrong with it just some consumables that need changing.

Its criminal just doing the one side. Reminds me when my daughter in law purchased a car from a garage and it failed the MOT due to worn discs and brake pads down to the metal. Garage replaced disc and pads on the side which the MOT mentioned but didnt do the other side. I only found out about it when she asked me to take a look and see why car was behaving oddly when she braked. Reported garage to Motor traders association etc and her Dad went storming back to garage but they denied any responsibility as a third party ie me, had touched the car.

Glad you're all sorted :driving:

Did you go for poly or oem bushes? Only ask as Im not sure what to do when I eventually need to change them

I went for oem, i wont be using it on the track and didn't really want the ride any stiffer than it already is.

It really has changed the car for the better, so much nicer on the drive to work.
