Service Cost?

Just had my Inspection 1 done at my local dealer, cost of the service was £341. no idea if thats a good or bad price but i didnt have time to shop around.
 
My wife's car is due its Insp 1 next Friday. £300 is the quote from our next nearest dealer, but that excludes brake fluid and coolant changes; memory (based on her previous BMW) suggests around £100 for those 2 . And the MOT is due, so that's another £60.

Service costs are high at BWM garages, but I think there is an element of peace of mind, particulary when they sold the car from new.
 
Inspection 1 probably around £300 or so depending if you can be bothered shopping around and travelling any great distance. TBH from Derby, if you can be bothered, I would take it up the M1 to Sandal in Wakefield, as I only ever had great service from them.

Well not compared to the cost my citroen dealer charged me last year for a service at a similar mileage... £473 :o needless to say I aint going back there this year...
 
2003 Saxo VTR - 1.6 litre, that price did include the MOT, but even so I was shocked. Going to an independant this year...
 
I've been quoted £250 for an oil service!! What else is included in an Inspection 1? Mines not due for another 10000 miles, which is 2 years with the mileage I do in it.
