Service at BMW - free reprograming, or expect to pay?

How do you negotiate the price with dealers?

In the north west, we only have two networks - Halliwell Jones and Williams. I guess it's a case of getting quotes from each and comparing?

or travel a bit further a field (if it is worth it) :)

I had mine in for service and as part of the service I asked for a program change. They had the car all day which was a pain in the @#$. I picked up the car and found a service note - Customer Needs to make a separate appointment for programming - Estimate $130 US. I was so pissed I told the Service manager to stick it in his ear. They had the car all day and they couldn't do the programming. I'm done with the dealer - going back to the indy. BMW should learn to treat customers better.

Hi,

Had these options enabled today at Burton Motor Workshop (BMW/Merc specialist) in Burton on Trent. Very efficient sevice, very busy - always a good sign saw an M3 in today. £25+vat so about half price of BMW, would recommend to anyone local.
