Hi All,

The Z4 had it's first service today at Sytners Leicester. The service was great the staff was spot on and I haven't got a bad word to say.

Turned u at 2.30pm for my fast track service and after handing the car over walked to the showroom for a test drive in a New 2.5 what ever it's called. Really enjoyed it but it felt a little too grown up for me. Certainly the hard top is a lovely addition as too was the lovely 19" on the demo!

Anyway back to the service area and my cars there ready! Must have been 45 mins total! Car looked fine and didn't get washed as requested but to be fair all the cars in the showroom new and used looked well prepped!

Anyway don't ask me what the coffee was like because I didn't have time to try it but the while experience was 5 star.

Oh and a fancy a 6 series too lol

cheers

I'm very happy for you. My own test drive experience at Sytner Leicester was so bad I wouldn't ever want to see their premises again.

Actually, that wasn't what I wanted to say, but you'll just have to use your imagination. :x

I have used them a couple of times for some warranty work - they have spent a fortune on the new drive in service area. Very professional you drive in and they open the door and take your car, great when the weather is bad - problem is if you go at peak time - i then stood in a queue for 20 min to fill in paperwork which took a further 10 mins, i left before it was finished - because the person picking me up had been sitting outside for 15 mins. Was not impressed. Cannot understand why the paperwork was not done pre arrival - it was booked nearly a week before. They only had 3 service advisors on, for about 20 arrivals. The collection was very smooth and the work they did was superb, though again there was alot of messing around with paperwork. Second time i did not go at peak time and it was very slick. Previous dealer experience was Merc and they never kept me waiting more than few minutes either on delivery or collection.

They wanted £5 for a wash - presume it is fre if it is a service, but not if it is free warranty work had it done the first time, it was OK, but bothered again.

As for the sales side - they lost a sale when i bought my M, the used car sales guy, it not so many words said a women should not really drive a M. I wanted to test drive the Sepang M coupe they had, but he was very reclutant to even let me go out in a 2.5, so walked away and bought elsewhere. However, i test drove the new one and the lady on the new car sales was completely different.

I would use them again as i worked on the same industrial estate, but if i was buying i think i would go back to Rybrook Wariwck as the whole buying experience with them was better than i could have imagined.

oil service in 45 mins?

Thats what I thought but the mechanic was waiting at the service desk as I pointed out I was a bit rushed for time. This waiting service has a max time of 90 mins. I think the next service can be as that too.

I think they only charged me for that time too as labour was £53 + vat

Had the price list and broucher emailed today for the new Z4 so pretty good all round

Inspection 1 and MOT Monday.

£298 + £54 and a pair of standard number plates!

Good service, they was very busy so not overly enjoyable. Car failed on its number plates these passed elsewhere fine last year but i knew i was risking it. They also reset the Transit Mode Setting again which is a real pain, cant see why they dont turn it completely off when its handed over to the customer.

They looked after the car well and only when i got home and looked closer did i see a few little marks, looks like they had buffed the drivers door on the higher section with a cloth which really marred the stupidly hard to care Jet Black paint. Also a little mark on the rear bumer which although small looks deepish. Finally possible little cuts on the passengers front tyre which looks tobe cuased after the tyre shine was applied but i cant be sure.

I think im just asking too much as any other owner wouldnt even think twice to go around the car at the dealers and at home. (Note to self must get a life)

Must say the level of service seems much higher than the other main dealer i use for one of our cars..... So overal happy dealing with them

Cheers

I always get the dealer to walk round the car when I drop it off. I also instruct them not to wash it, so you are not alone.
