hi, how do you find out the service history on your car if you have lost the service book?

BMW UK can tell you if it's been serviced at a Main Dealer, there is a special number you can ring, do a search on here.

It's a pain to get the duplicate service book stamped though, as some of the dealerships don't exist any more and the new franchise owner may or may not stamp it for the previous franchise.

my supplying dealer sent off the service book round the previous dealers for me.

good point from mmm-five though about different franchises though...
